Wilsons Underlay Ltd are a manufacturer of carpet underlay who distribute to carpet shops & retail carpet companies throughout the UK using our own drivers and vehicles.
The Job: We require a confident, outgoing and responsible person to join our administrative team to assist in the coordinating, planning and delivery of orders received and the related administrative tasks the role brings.
This is an office-based role and will involve the use of a variety of IT platforms such as Sage Accounts, Stream Delivery Software, CRM, email, text messaging & very importantly telephone communication skills. You must be confident on the telephone and in communicating to our customers information about their deliveries and overcoming any delivery problems.
Tasks
1. Help plan & organise deliveries resulting from orders that are placed with the business.
2. Contact customers via Text / Phone / Email to inform of the Delivery schedule.
3. Liaise with customers as part of our after service to check the delivery went smoothly and identify any problems.
4. Carry out numerous administrative tasks to support the subsequent invoicing of our sales.
5. Liaise with our warehouse and driver operations to ensure a smooth transition from order to delivery.
6. Provide excellent customer service.
The aim is to ensure:
1. that all orders received into the business are administratively prepared and fully planned.
2. that customers are fully aware of the delivery arrangements.
3. that drivers are aware of daily runs and have all information required to complete the deliveries fully.
4. that all company vehicles are ready and suitable for the deliveries planned.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, confident, enthusiastic and has an excellent telephone manner who can work within a dynamic team but who is confident when left to work alone.
Qualifications
1. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
2. Strong typing and data entry skills.
3. Experience with Sage Accounts Software and clerical tasks.
4. Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
5. Effective phone etiquette and communication skills.
6. Be willing to learn new software to facilitate effective information gathering.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 41.5 per week
