This contract will have an estimated contract value in the nine figure region.\nAs a Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:\n * Delivering exceptional QS services for the client under the guidance of the Regional Director.\n * Providing real value while meeting the needs of customers, across a variety of projects in retail, commercial, residential and leisure sectors.\n * Assisting with feasibility studies, cost estimates, and budget preparation for new projects.\n * Preparing tender documents, including scope of works, and manage the tender process.\n * Evaluating and select contractors through competitive tendering.\n * Providing cost advice and value engineering during the design phase to optimize costs.\n * Developing detailed cost plans and cash flow forecasts.\n * Overseeing the financial management of projects, ensuring costs are controlled and the project remains within budget.\n * Preparing and manage valuations, including interim valuations and final accounts.\n * Managing changes and variations, ensuring proper documentation and negotiation with contractors.\n * Reviewing and approve contractor invoices and claims, ensuring they are in line with contract terms.\n * Building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.\n * Identifying and assess potential risks on projects and implement mitigation strategies.\n * Engaging in value engineering to improve cost efficiency while maintaining quality and project scope.\n * Preparing and maintain accurate records of project financials, including cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.\n * Monitoring and reporting on contract performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.\nTo be successful in this role you must:\n * Be degree qualified (BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent)\n * Possess 5 years’ experience in a similar QS role, and able to demonstrate a track record within both pre and post contract delivery.\n * Experience delivering a range of different projects, ideally with experience delivering under differing procurement approaches and in a client facing role.\n * Excellent contract knowledge and Contract Administration experience.\n * Competence in advising clients on key project related issues and risk whilst owning day to day delivery and successfully managing change\n * Ability to lead both internal and client/design/construction teams and develop junior staff.\n * Strong IT capabilities including working experience of Microsoft Office.\nMonaghans are committed to the continuous professional development of all our staff and we provide a range of professional training programmes and support for staff at all levels including those requiring support to obtain relevant academic or professional qualifications.\nIf this role sounds like a match for your skillset, please hit the “APPLY” button to be formally considered for this exciting role!\nNo agencies please
