Physiotherapy Assistant / Technician
Duchy Hospital - Truro
Part Time - 25 hours
The Physiotherapy Department is looking to recruit a part-time Physiotherapy Assistant / Technician.
We operate a 7-day Physiotherapy Service, so weekend work will be incorporated.
This clinical role will include administration duties. You will assist the qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists with delegated duties and independent clinical work as per competencies. Other duties will include cleaning and re-ordering of equipment, assisting with audits, stock taking, typing, producing patient information, and general department admin.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be keen to progress within the department. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Our specialties include:
* Elective orthopaedics – inpatient and day case
* Musculoskeletal Outpatients
* Hand Therapy
Essential criteria include:
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Good computer skills
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
* NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher qualification in a health or rehabilitation subject (or willing to work towards this)
* Flexible approach to rostering and the ability to work a full range of shifts including weekends and bank holidays
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
* Demonstrated customer service skills
Desirable criteria include:
* Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant / Technician in Orthopaedics
