Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant Grade 1 £24,027-pro rata 10 hours per week Permanent Monday 28th April (or as soon as possible thereafter) 11.15am – 1.15pm (this may change depending on needs of the school) Our Head Teacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, empathetic and energetic applicant to work alongside our dedicated lunchtime cover team. The role requires the successful applicant to: • Instigate play and help in creating meaningful and stimulating activities for our children to participate in. • Overseeing an OPAL play zone on the playground • Wipe down tables, mop up spillages and help children during their meal service and support children in caring for our school environment. • Attend regular training. • Understand the culture of safeguarding and how to keep our children safe. • Help promote good manners and social skills of children. • Liaise with class-based staff about the wellbeing of children. This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
