Job Title: Domestic Abuse Support Worker Job Location: Chippenham Salary - £23400 - £29200 ( 750 Car Allowance) per annum Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time (37 hours per week) About the Service We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our Specialist Support Team, in the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to people living in our safe accommodation. About the role You will work with customers to agree a support plan that meets their immediate safety needs and starts the process of recovery, linking them to other specialist support services where required. You will work in a trauma informed way and ideally have a background in supporting people with complex needs. Ideally qualified to ISVA/IDVA level or have related experience. You will work effectively with the wider staff team and other professionals, making referrals to statutory and specialist agencies. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. About you It is essential that you have a willing and flexible approach and can work as part of a team or alone. Experience of working with vulnerable people, particularly with those affected by domestic abuse Experience of multi-agency working, managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse client group You will have knowledge of welfare benefits. You will ideally have experience of supporting customers with multiple needs. You will hold a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role.
