Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add an experienced Mechanically biased Design Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. This would be a great fit for a meticulous individual who enjoys challenge and variety in their day to day.
Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools, and dies to meet customer requirements. This includes:
1. Design and manufacture of complex metal components.
2. Production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support.
3. Recommendation and implementation of any system modifications.
4. Compiling working manuals and records for effective forging operations.
Knowledge & Experience
Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years relevant experience gained within an engineering business. Additionally:
1. Prior experience within a design role.
2. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo).
3. Strong IT skills, including Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.
4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
5. Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous.
