Construction Manager (Electrical)
Location: Glasgow / Lothian and Borders, Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Central belt etc.
Salary: Up to £64,050 per year on a 37-hour basic week, plus Overtime available.
Benefits: Strong benefits package including double match pension scheme (up to a company contribution of 10%).

Monday - Saturday (8am till midnight) - Time and a Half
Monday - Saturday (midnight to 8am) - Double Time
Sunday - Double Time (all hours)

Role
The Electrical Construction Manager has a key role in the SPT business, responsible for managing CMT resource and outputs during Development, Procurement, Delivery and Closure for all major projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Development, Procurement (Prequalification / Tendering) and Construction delivery of project scopes from concept to closure within disaggregated models in line with CAPEX.
2. Direct the management and delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law, CDM regulations 2015 and Environmental Legislation.
3. Drive, manage and evaluate the commercial management of each package of work to control CAPEX risk in line with Contractual Terms and Conditions.
4. Manage and monitor regulatory outputs in line with programmed milestones.
5. Collaborate and monitor all supply, civil, electrical, cable & OHL packages to ensure all Health & Safety and O&M of the built environment is recorded, validated, and stored for future design & maintenance use.
What you will bring
1. Proven knowledge and experience in planning and managing all specifications, designs, maintenance, construction, and commissioning of Electrical works within a Transmission substation environment.
2. Ability to interpret Electrical schematic and wiring design drawings in relation to primary plant installation and protection & control systems.
3. Basic knowledge in engaging and delivering civil, OHL and cable packages of work.
4. Strong leadership & planning skills.
5. Experience in Contract Management, including control and agreement of variations and claims.
6. Effective awareness of the management of NEC / FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
7. Proven ability to Lead, Manage, and Collaborate on project outputs with teams and external stakeholders.
8. Knowledge and understanding in Line Management responsibilities and HR processes.
Minimum Requirements:
* Preferred Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in the Construction Management field within the Power Sector.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Current five-day SMSTS qualification.
