Channel Solutions
Channel solutions exists to evolve how we engage with clients over the activation of media, its contribution to business performance and how integration of capabilities and thinking are the critical element to driving growth for clients. Optimising media isn’t enough, we need to understand the eco-system that influences true business performance, and the role media plays in influencing that.
As part of Channel Solutions, there is a collective of Channel management, the activation of media, Channel Strategy, the connection between media and business performance, and Channel Development, the project managers and integrators to capabilities that exist beyond media and into the wider network and client.
The Role
A role exists in Mindshare’s Channels & Solutions within a growing Programmatic specialist team. We are looking for an experienced Programmatic Account Director who will play an instrumental role in further development of our offering by taking ownership of the ongoing client engagement, managing a team of Programmatic AMs and AEs and support the Digital Channel Management Partner to implement the strategic vision of the account and team. In this role, you will also work closely with other sister agencies in the network, creative agencies, data teams, PR etc.
The Ideal Candidate
The candidate will report into the Digital Channel Management Partner. Working within the Mindshare Channels & Solutions Paid Social team, they will be integral to cross channel knowledge sharing and contributing to channel integration across Mindshare Channels & Solutions. The ideal candidate will be expected to use their own initiative in setting up processes and expectations for the social team within the client hub. You will be expected to lead by example, growing the client base by upselling new services and contributing to team PR opportunities.
Essential Criteria
* Exceptional project management and coordination skills, with a logical approach to problem solving
* Experience in developing and leading client relationships
* Exceptional people management skills, including support and development of at least two junior team members
* Exceptional executional Programmatic experience managing Brand & DR activity; experience in optimising and developing programmatic accounts to hit performance targets is essential
* Extensive experience using programmatic platforms (DV360, Amazon, Yahoo, Xandr TTD etc.) as well as 3rd party platforms like GA and other tracking solutions such as DoubleClick and Adobe Analytics
* In depth understanding of networks like: Audience Networks.
* Sponsorships and when to use them to deliver against clients’ business objectives
* Understanding of the importance of brand safety, viewability and able to recommend solutions that address these topics
* Ability to support the Business Director in developing wider individual channel strategies including year planning, audience development and creative solutions in line with client’s objectives.
* Ability to devise a cross digital platform strategy that links up with other non-programmatic channels, taking into account best practices
* Expert knowledge of measurement capabilities and evaluate and implement opportunities that are of benefit to the client and future Programmatic activity
* Working knowledge of digital attribution approaches used to optimize Programmatic campaigns
* An understanding of how Programmatic can integrate with other digital and offlinechannels
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge in coding and programming
* Experience in collaborating with offline media channels to negotiate and align on ideal Offline vs. Online budget scenarios
Responsibilities
Delivering client performance
* Take ultimate responsibility for the output of your team, both clients facing and operational
* Be the central client contact for your client portfolio, dealing at Director level and above with senior management within the client and agency organization
* Apply best practice rigor to the execution of programmatic campaigns
* Maintain a forward thinking and innovative approach in the development of programmatic activity
* Attend all important internal and external client meetings; provide outstanding levels of client service in a proactive manner
Raising our profile
* Keep up to date with industry developments in order to offer POVs
* Become an expert in all Programmatic services offered by Mindshare
* Build a reputation as a trusted senior advisor for internal and external stakeholders
* Play an active role in pitches, and other cross agency initiatives
* Surfacing the best work within the team and promoting this internally and externally via case study submissions / award entries etc.
* Enter relevant industry awards and create POVs regarding industry developments
* Contribute to key industry events and represent Mindshare externally
* Regular development of opinion pieces related to Programmatic to be shared across the agency, build external and internal profile and act as a thought leader in the Programmatic space.
* Build and maintain relationships with Client Leads, offering strategic guidance (in line with Digital Channel Management Partner vision) to help grow the business and strengthen the relationship
* Work with HR/other channel leads to ensure the Channels & Solutions story is positioned correctly with recruiters
* Develop the profile of Mindshare Channels & Solutions through training, presentations, and other communication
* Support Senior leadership and line manager with regular updates on up-and-coming innovation, changes to industry landscape

* Maintain a strong line of communication with all team members including the Head of Programmatic, senior leadership, etc.
* Work with Digital Channel Management Partnerand HR teams to develop and maintain training plans to plug any skills gaps around the team
* Play an active role in the recruitment and interviewing process to build strong teams
Driving our process
* Take the lead on one or more integration projects across the department, and supporting other projects
* Develop and maintain on-boarding process for new starters
* Constantly review all optimization, budget management, task management, testing, and other processes to identify opportunities for improvement in effectiveness or efficiency
* Ensure briefing, planning and finance processes are strictly adhered to by the team
Developing our product
* Develop roadmaps for the Programmatic product, to differentiate and future proof our offering
* Create a consistent, challenging, but exciting recruitment experience for candidates that allows us to find and secure the best talent in the market
* Support Digital Channel Management Partnerin development of Channels & Solutions Programmatic product
* Contribute and leads aspects of New Business, as well as upselling and cross-selling of services and capabilities.
* Contribute to the New Business process by creating templates and resources usable in all pitches
Ensuring ourprofitability
* Work with ADs to ensure client resource allocations are adhered to, reported, and flagged to Digital Channel Management Partner
* Support and deliver new business pitches when requested by leadership
* Commercially driven and forward thinking in the expansion of business opportunities, entrepreneurial in mind-set and always looking to develop incremental or new services both centrally and locally via new opportunities and revenue streams
