The role… Working in a team of analysts located in the firm’s London, New York, and Boston offices, the Analyst will undertake strategic research on topics at the intersection of plant operations, industrial performance and digital technologies. Success in the role requires an interest in digital technology and a background in computer science, chemical or mechanical engineering. The successful candidate will have the ambition to undertake a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research, write high quality written reports and present research findings to client executives. This role is paying in the region of £34K - £36K (dependent on experience) with a very competitive quarterly performance bonus. Our analysts benefit from our structured ‘Analyst Training Framework’ which offers 24-months of tailored learning which will equip high performers to progress to more senior analyst positions at Verdantix. This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in the office during probationary period and will decrease to 2 days upon successful completion. What you’ll be doing… Learning how to use research and analysis to create insightful reports for businesses. Write high-quality research in English while meeting deadlines. Working on consulting projects relating to industrial technologies including AI-based analytics, digital twins, predictive maintenance software, asset performance software, CMMS, etc. Source and conduct interviews with executives and industry experts. Building quantitative models to size and forecast building technology Contribute to client advisory workshops and other presentations. Apply and create business research methodologies. Contribute to product development in a team context. Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities. What we’re looking for Educated to Master’s level with a preference for top-tier universities, ideally with a degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. More than 6 month’s work experience in a business role preferably with exposure to industrial technologies, engineering or maintenance. Excellent communication and public speaking skills, for face to face and telephone interviews, as well as presentations to clients and webinars Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas. Sufficient quantitative skills and knowledge of Excel to manipulate large data sets and apply basic mathematical concepts.
