Job summary The Pharmacy Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity to start a career path in hospital pharmacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable Pharmacy Assistants to join a friendly and supportive team in a forward-thinking department; committed to delivering high quality patient care. Successful candidates will undertake an apprenticeship to complete a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services if the post holder does not already hold this qualification. Please note, prior pharmacy experience is not essential for this role as full training will be given. We welcome applications from people with relevant experience in fast paced customer facing roles. Main duties of the job The successful candidate(s) will rotate through each area of pharmacy, including inpatient services, aseptic services and stores & distribution, supporting with the dispensing, monitoring distribution and ordering of pharmacy supplies to support our patients and staff. You will be supported with full training in each rotational area, and you will be supported by Practice Supervisors in each of the rotations. You must be highly organised and motivated, possess good communication skills and capable of meeting multiple deadlines. We expect candidates to have some experience working in public service or dealing with customers and are able to work carefully, accurately and methodically in a busy environment.
