Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Powertrain Components & Systems Engineering Department in Coventry. This is a permanent position within the automotive sector, with a focus on delivering high–quality work under pressure, particularly related to fuel and powertrain systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support for Diesel fuel injection equipment (FIE) systems for European Diesel customers.
* Handle responsibilities for assigned aspects of the Diesel FIE System, including system analysis, calibration, and pre–development.
* Manage customer project relationships, including new business acquisition and validation processes.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure confidence in releasing parts to production.
* Deliver tasks within the company production development workflow to support overall project targets.
* Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships during engine development phases.
Job Requirements:
* Experience in data analysis and Systems Engineering/Management (CORE).
* Proficiency in Systems Engineering within the automotive sector, with a particular focus on Powertrain and Fuel systems.
* Good degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electronics Engineering (2:1 or higher).
* Clear thinker and good communicator with demonstrated initiative and proactive attitude.
* Strong ability in logical analysis of data and problem solving, with clear ownership of tasks.
* Project capability demonstrated in a work environment with a track record of delivering output.
* Understanding of diesel engine combustion and engine control.
