Midland News Association is looking for a journalist with experience and enthusiasm to join its team at the Shropshire Star. We are particularly looking for a senior journalist who is able to drive a substantial online and print audience through inventive, fun and informative reports. The right candidate will be expected to take on an area of expertise, providing engaging and unique content that will drive interest and engagement among readers. This is a role for an ambitious, dedicated and enthusiastic reporter who wants to join our talented editorial team. As a multimedia journalist, you must be comfortable producing content for all digital platforms from in-depth features to breaking news articles, as well as producing video and audio content. Court reporting experience would also be desirable. We are looking for someone who is able to deliver accurate, entertaining copy to meet strict deadlines. A full, clean driving licence is required. We will also consider NCTJ Diploma trained journalists who are working towards their NQJ.
