We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wills & Probate Solicitor / Private Client Solicitor OR a Licensed Probate Practitioner OR an experienced Legal Executive to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Wills and Probate Law, particularly tax implications and practices, with the ability to effectively represent clients in the above matters and a strong understanding of legal principals. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the law while providing exceptional service to clients. This role would suit a more mature candidate or retired practitioner who wants to work part time. Duties A knowledge of probate matters, inheritance tax, wills, trusts, LPA's and drafting legal documents necessary Provide legal advice and guidance to our clients regarding the above matters in compliance with regulations Managing probate matters, including obtaining grants of probate and administering estates Advising clients on estate planning to ensure the efficient transfer of wealth and assets Providing compassionate and professional advice to clients during emotionally challenging times Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and contact, offering tailored advice and solutions Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal precedents that may affect client cases Qualifications A qualified Solicitor OR a Licensed Probate Practioner Or a Legal Executive with relevant experience Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Previous experience in this specific area of law is essential We are a small family type solicitors practice in the heart of the Peak District. We require a wills and probate person to take over from our lady who is retiring in March 2025. We hope to fill the position asap, but could wait for the right person. This position is part time 2-3 days per week (or more if demand requires) and we are very flexible with days, time and out of office work.
