An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sister to join our Community Children's Nursing team. The successful candidate will be a registered Paediatric nurse with community experience who will demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the role is to provide exemplary leadership to the CCN team by providing:
* Clinical credibility to the service
* Developing the team and service to ensure the needs of the population are met
* Ensuring the Trust’s values are met within the service
* Being visible to all areas within the paediatric and neonatal care group
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will have continued responsibility for managing and monitoring the community. To function as an expert clinical practitioner within the CCN team, delivering direct patient care while managing, leading, coordinating, and overseeing nursing practice.
Person specification
Qualifications
* RSCN / RN Child
* Recognised leadership training
* Masters degree or working towards or has equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience
* Substantial experience of working with children and young people in the community setting.
* Demonstrate leadership and team player ability within current practice
* Previous experience of leading and managing teams.
Skills and Aptitudes
* Decision making skills that support clinical practice and service delivery
* Development of practice standards
