An exciting opportunity has arisen in Atlas Copco Power Technique! We are looking for a Submersible Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and thriving business. You will develop our Submersible pump business for the UK and Irish markets. Devise and execute a business plan for Market Share growth via direct and indirect channels for the entire range of Submersible pumps in all market sectors including construction, mining, quarrying, mineral extraction etc.
Your role:
* Market Research & Analysis:
o Identify business opportunities and market trends.
o Analyze competitors & customers and develop strategies to grow.
* Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
o Understand indirect/direct client needs and provide tailored support to succeed.
* Sales and Revenue Growth:
o Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow MS.
o Negotiate contracts and close deals.
o Liaise with all members of the sales team about leads & enquiries.
* Product Knowledge:
o Maintain in-depth knowledge of submersible pump products and their applications.
o Provide application, technical support and product training to clients.
o Provide training for internal and external service personnel and sales teams.
* Collaboration:
o Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials.
o Collaborate with the technical and customer service teams to ensure product specifications meet client requirements.
o Assist the General Manager in developing strategies and budgets for pumps.
* Reporting & Documentation:
o Prepare regular reports on sales activities and market conditions.
o Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
* Division & Other:
o Liaise and work with the divisional teams for market share, product development and support.
o Undertake ad-hoc and project work as necessary to include integration and successful launch of new products.
o Be active within any relevant trade association such as BPMA.
To succeed, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business or related technical qualification is preferred but relevant business and industry experience is considered.
* Several years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the pump or related industry.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans.
* Technical knowledge of submersible pumps and their applications.
* Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
* Enthusiastic and passionate, working systematically with a focus on delivering quality and results.
* Commitment to targets and making decisions based on accurate information.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and other O365 applications.
