Whilst you will be primarily based within the primary phase SRP, there may occasionally be the need for you to support within the SRP in the secondary phase. At full capacity, the primary SRP will have a maximum of 14 students who access the provision.
Experience of working with students with communication and language difficulties and ASC is essential. You will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).
You will be joining a wonderfully supportive, collaborative, self-reflective and aspirational staff team, who constantly strive for excellence in all we do to ensure the children in our care get the very best opportunities in all aspects of their learning.
KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. Now the KAB primary phase consists of Nursery - Year 5 along with our ASC resource base and Year 7 - Year 13 with a secondary ASC resource base in the secondary phase. In September 2019, KAO, a brand new 1 FE primary school a mile away opened. After years of growth, KAO now has the full range of primary age classes from Year R - Year 6. Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.
King’s Academy Binfield and King’s Academy Oakwood are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
