Now, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer in our office in Manchester.
Role and Responsibilities
As Project Engineer of IPS, you will have the responsibility for the planning and management in a wide range of packages and/or complete projects, ranging from small improvements to large projects. The management of your project can include multiple phases and/or specializations:
1. Project feasibility: process description, plant layout, overall Time Schedule, procurement Strategy, financial plan.
2. Project preparation phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing, and procurement.
3. Project realization phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.
What is the role about?
As a Senior Project Engineer with experience in construction management you will:
1. Guide and manage construction projects during the complete life cycle of projects, for example, master planning, feasibility, permitting, civil works, main infrastructure needs, contracting, and construction management and supervision.
2. Study the project thoroughly to plan the deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Review the schedules of all contractors and manage the full and updated construction site schedule.
4. Oversee all activities on and off the project site, ensuring compliance with construction and safety regulations.
5. Coordinate and direct workers and subcontractors.
6. Monitor daily progress of the work.
7. Ensure safe working conditions on the construction site.
8. Prepare internal and external progress reports.
9. Anticipate potential issues and resolve them.
10. Manage CDM Regulations.
11. Ensure that construction quality standards are met and that the correct building techniques are applied.
12. Have notions in civil works, building utilities, scheduling, and process.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: at least 5 years as a senior project engineer.
3. Experience in construction management projects.
4. Knowledge and experience in CDM regulations.
5. Knowledge of project management systems and tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project).
6. Languages: English.
7. Availability for travel nationally and internationally based on the project requirements.
8. Driver's license.
