Job Title: Line Leader
Location: IPS Skelmersdale
Position: Full-time and permanent
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday rotational shift - Hours to be discussed during interview.
Salary: £14.78 per hour.
Job Description
To manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards. To be a role model for best practice at all times, and provide support to Line Leaders where appropriate.
1. Maximize production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
2. Motivate a team to meet production targets.
3. Ensure final product meets client specifications (SPI).
4. Use onsite Warehouse Management systems effectively.
5. Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
6. Complete all paperwork and systems accurately per company procedures.
7. Maintain compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
8. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
9. Assist in developing a skills matrix for production workers.
10. Support the development of Line Leaders for success planning.
11. Train and develop new starters.
12. Act as a role model for best practices.
13. Monitor, control, and minimize waste.
14. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
15. Engage in the company’s PDP program.
16. Conduct disciplinary investigations as per company procedures.
17. Drive personal development through training and experience.
18. Perform other duties reasonably within the scope of the role.
Qualifications
* Preferably experience in food or packing industries.
* Experience working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
* Positive and clear communication skills.
* Foster an open and collaborative culture.
* Encourage new ideas from others.
* Knowledge of company procedures and compliance.
* Ability to lead a team of temporary labor positively.
