2nd Line Engineer

We are looking for suitable candidates with an understanding of support services who are interested in building upon their current knowledge to progress a career in IT. This is a training role that will enhance the skills of a talented technician in service support and provision of equipment to the military, including the provision, recording of solutions, and providing repairs and continued service. We are looking for keen candidates with knowledge of IT, devices, and an understanding of Windows 10 and device repair, and possibly some limited experience with Desktop support, although training in all aspects will be provided for the right candidate. The role is customer-facing, so the most important attributes are the ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with our customers (Military) and corporate partners. This position is located in Fareham, Hampshire.
Your role will involve:
The successful applicant may engage in projects further afield from time to time and will be expected to support our other southern sites when required. You will need to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying the customers’ needs and ensuring they are met while working within your agreed support role as defined by your Team Lead. Some of the key tasks and core skills are outlined below, but you will also be involved with other work as directed and be expected to contribute to the team’s ability to meet target SLA’s and KPI’s.
