This role will give you the opportunity to combine strategic planning from the office with field-based engagement, ensuring that our products meet market demands and are positioned effectively. It is one of a number of new roles within the business as we expand and develop our strategy for future success.
Role Overview:
As the Product & Marketing Manager, you will oversee the development, marketing, and lifecycle of our garage equipment and tools. You will play a pivotal role in shaping product strategies, executing marketing campaigns, and interacting directly with customers, all while collaborating with internal teams to achieve business objectives. This dynamic role, which reports directly to the Managing Director, allows you to balance the strategic aspects of marketing with the hands-on activities that will drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Product Management:
* Develop and manage the product roadmap for our garage equipment and tools, from ideation to product launch and beyond.
* Collaborate with R&D, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure products meet quality standards and customer needs.
* Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
* Oversee product pricing, packaging, and positioning to maximise competitiveness and profitability.
* Analyse product performance and implement improvements based on customer feedback and market dynamics.
* Marketing Strategy & Execution:
* Design and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and demand for our products.
* Lead the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, product catalogues, digital content, and email campaigns.
* Coordinate product launches, promotional campaigns, and trade show participation.
* Utilise digital marketing channels (social media, email, SEO, PPC) to reach targeted audiences.
* Monitor the performance of marketing activities and adjust strategies as needed to optimise outcomes.
* Customer & Field Engagement:
* Conduct regular visits to key clients, distributors, and prospects to gather insights and provide product demonstrations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and feedback on existing products.
* Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company, gather market intelligence, and promote our products.
* Provide training and support to the sales team on new product features, benefits, and marketing materials.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in product management and marketing within the garage equipment, tools, automotive, or related industries.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Creative mindset with a strong understanding of digital marketing techniques.
* A customer-centric approach, with the ability to translate customer feedback into actionable product and marketing improvements.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments, including sales, R&D, and customer support.
* Willingness to travel within the region for customer meetings, product demonstrations, and industry events.
* A genuine passion for the garage equipment and tools industry is highly desirable.
