Aetheria Group is seeking an experienced Head of Audits and Compliance to manage and lead an international compliance team, and enhance our compliance efforts across our insourcing, outsourcing, and recruitment brands.

About the Role
As Head of Audits and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Aetheria Group brands operate within regulatory and legislative guidelines. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will build, guide, and develop a compliance team, uphold rigorous compliance standards, and support the organisation’s continued growth.
The successful applicant will be supported by a highly experienced and positive audit and compliance senior, who has worked alongside our Group CEO for 12 years in this field. She will be available one to two days per week to provide guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee compliance processes, ensuring full adherence to legislative acts, government regulations, and framework contractual obligations.
2. Manage, mentor, and provide ongoing training to an international compliance team, setting achievable targets and conducting regular supervisions and appraisals to ensure continuous development and high performance.
3. Conduct internal audits, oversee external audits, and act as the primary liaison for regulatory inspectors.
4. Ensure that pre- and post-employment compliance processes are rigorously followed for the professionals we employ and contract to deliver services across the United Kingdom.
5. Deliver comprehensive training to internal staff, covering compliance, legislative and contractual obligations, as well as customer-specific processes to ensure full understanding and adherence to regulatory, framework, and client requirements.
6. Develop and deliver compliance monitoring reports, tracking performance, identifying risks, and presenting findings on a monthly basis to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory adherence.
7. Collaborate with commercial, operational, and clinical leads to implement reviews, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs, and appraisals for professionals, ensuring ongoing performance and compliance.
8. Collaborate with customer stakeholders, audit firms, and industry networks to continuously improve, promote, and uphold the company’s compliance standards and services.
What We’re Looking For
1. Proven track record in the UK health and social care audit and compliance sector, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
2. Strong understanding of UK health and social care compliance regulations, including NHS Employers Check Standards, relevant UK legislation, Government Acts, and Safer Recruitment practices.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team while maintaining personal accountability for high standards.
4. Confident in providing expert advice and actively participating in and contributing to senior and regular meetings with relevant professionals, customers, and suppliers.
5. Skilled in analysis, reporting, and managing audits with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks.
6. Proficiency in compliance software, Microsoft Office, and workforce management systems, with the ability to analyse data and ensure regulatory adherence efficiently.
