Our client is leading original equipment manufacturer and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Shipping Co-ordinator. The psoition is a 12-14 month contract, full time 37.5hours per week.
The Shipping Co-ordinator will be responsible for arranging all import and export shipping arrangements for machinery and spare parts at our clients distribution centre in Bristol.
The Role:
Reporting to the aftersales manager the shipping co-ordinator will arrange the effective shipping of machinery and spare parts to customers all over the world. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;
Scheduling timely dispatch / distribution of all orders and liaise with logistics providers, freight forwarders, parcel couriers and shipping companies and warehouse team.
Arrange Air, Sea and land freight consignments into the EU and non-EU countries
Produce Customs paperwork (Commercial invoices/Eur1 and ATR1 forms etc etc)
Co-ordinate air freight imports
Ensure all information is accurately updated on company ERP systems.
Liaise with customers and clients as appropriateCandidate:
The successful candidate will have previous international shipping experience logistics / shipping administration experience and you will be familiar with all aspects associated with booking international shipping and transportation.
You will have excellent understanding of customs import / export doucmentation requirments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Excellent all round IT (including Excel and ERP systems) experience is required.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
