Are you due to Qualify?
Are you an ASYE?
Would you like to start your journey in Social Work in Adult Mental Health?
Do you have aspirations to progress in your career in mental health? Or do you just want a new challenge?
Do you want a better work-life balance, but still feel passionate about the job you trained to do, and making a difference to the lives of adults and carers?
Our hybrid working offer supports our social workers to manage the pressures of life alongside a rewarding career. We’ve changed our flexi-time policy too, meaning even greater flexibility in working hours, so that you are supported to take time for those important things in life when you need to.
Interested? We are seeking Social Workers with strong ethics and values to support adults and carers in our communities to live the life they choose to, regardless of their age or stage of life. We currently have vacancies in our Adult Mental Health.
Approval may be given by the appropriate Director/Assistant Director to offer a removal and relocation package in accordance with the Removal and Relocation Policy. Redcar & Cleveland operate a 6 month probationary period for a successful candidate.
Our Vision: We will help you live safe and well, in the place you call home, with the people and things you love, connected to your community, doing the things that matter to you.
Our commitment to adults and unpaid carers:
1. Listen - I am listened to and shape my own support
2. Advise - I am given information and advice when I need it
3. Enable - I am enabled to regain my wellbeing and independence
4. Support - I receive quality care that is value for money.
Our ambition is that every adult lives a good quality life, as they would choose to, and as independently as possible. It is our values and passion that motivates us, and if you are a driven professional who shares these values then we want to hear from you!
Our workforce is our greatest asset, and to show we mean this we offer many benefits including free parking, generous holiday entitlement, and flexible hybrid working that meets your needs, as well as those of the people we serve.
In addition, there will be opportunities available for learning and development in relation to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Best Interest Assessments and Approved Mental Health Practitioner qualification.
In return for what you can offer to the people of Redcar and Cleveland and the Council, we will welcome you with a genuine sense of teamwork, informal support and personal development. You will find that we work hard together to get the job done, investing courageously, and ensuring talented individuals have the ability to progress and make an impact both internally and externally.
Why Choose Redcar & Cleveland Adult Social Care? Here’s how some of our new Social Workers are settling in:
“I was kept really well informed as to each stage of the recruitment process. Since starting 4 weeks ago everyone I have met has been helpful and informative, making me feel very welcome.”
"I have been offered plenty of shadowing opportunities, to shadow more experienced social workers while they are carrying out assessments, as well as been supported out on visits while I have been given my own cases and carrying out my own assessments."
