Due to expansion within the charity, we have an exciting opportunity for a Male Support Worker to join our new team in Rossmore, working with George on a part-time basis.
George has been with Autism Unlimited for a while under our futures provision and has very recently been welcomed into our adult services programme.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Full UK driving licence. Please note Autism Unlimited does not provide sponsorship.
Get to know George
George is a verbal eighteen-year-old; however, he can sometimes get yes and no the wrong way around. George also uses visuals to help him plan and understand his day.
George enjoys activities such as going to the cinema, challenging others to a game of bowling, playing mini golf, or even enjoying a relaxing swim. When it rains, George prefers to stay warm indoors and watch a Marvel film or YouTube. On Saturdays, he likes to watch the twinkle toes of the Strictly Come Dancing cast. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family and participating in games.
George is supported on a 1:1 basis and is reliant on his support staff. He requires assistance with personal care, medication, and meal preparation. Routine and consistency are key, so clear boundaries are in place to help George feel safe and secure with the people around him.
He attends a day provision three days per week, so we are looking for a Part-Time Support Worker to work 26.5 hours per week.
