Job Description We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority who are recruiting for a Construction Lawyer on an initial 3-month locum basis .
The position is due to start immediately, can be carried out on a remote basis, and is offering an hourly rate between £50 - £60 p/hour via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on a varied caseload of high-value infrastructure projects, and be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Acting as a non-contentious construction lawyer with comprehensive understanding of, and experience of, drafting NEC and JCT Contracts
Managing a varied caseload of high-value infrastructure projects
Providing legal and procurement advice, including advising on the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and dealing with procurements via Framework Agreements
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policies, whilst providing advice on public procurement regulations and tendering processes
Experience required:
Experience required in Public Sector
Must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister
