Scaffolding Estimator
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (based on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire, Hybrid work permitted after successful completion of training.
Based in Redditch, they are a dynamic and growing scaffolding provider, who are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in shaping their projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, assessing project requirements, and working closely with the team to ensure seamless execution from tender to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator with a strong background in the house building or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Accurate Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for scaffolding projects using Strikesoft (training provided if needed), covering labour, materials, equipment, and project timeline.
- Conduct Feasibility Studies: Assess project requirements and conduct feasibility studies to determine material, labour, and resource needs, ensuring cost-effective and practical solutions.
- Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure costs remain within the estimated limits, making adjustments where necessary.
- Interpret Design Drawings: Review and interpret design plans and blueprints to understand project scope and deliver precise estimates.
Requirements:
- Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field or proven experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the house building or construction industry, particularly in house-building or scaffolding.
- Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with cost estimation software (experience with Strikesoft is advantageous but not required – full training is provided).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- Technical Understanding: A solid understanding of construction processes, design drawings, and cost management principles.
