We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Physiotherapist to join a busy and well respected Integrated Learning Disability Service, which covers the Lancashire locality. We are very pleased to be able to offer a Physiotherapy role, which would be based in the Pennine Lancashire locality.
LSCFT Learning Disability Service has a small, but growing Physiotherapy workforce with big visions for improving our service, delivering high quality assessment and intervention for adults with learning disabilities in the community. You will work in an experienced multi-disciplinary team, with overarching regular supervision and support from a Band 7 learning disability physiotherapist. We are committed to ongoing professional development of our workforce and driving service development initiatives.
In this role you will work with clinical colleagues from a range of professions to deliver person centred, evidence based physiotherapy. We provide a wide range of Physiotherapy assessment and interventions for people with learning disabilities who cannot successfully access mainstream physiotherapy services. This results in a varied and interesting caseload, where no two days are the same. We are fortunate to be able to offer a truly person centred approach, using creative approaches to achieve the best outcome to meet each individual’s needs.
Provide a high standard of specialist physiotherapy input to the designated therapy team.
To assess and treat patients within a ward or community setting as an autonomous practitioner.
Physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
Hold responsibility for own complex caseload andbe responsible fora defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
The post holderwill ensure their own personal development andparticipatein the development of others.
To supervise, educate and assess the performance of physiotherapy students to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the degree standard.
Undertake evidence-based audit and contribute to research projects. Make recommendations to clinical lead/manager for service improvement.
