About the Role We are looking for a self-employed accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, preparing statutory year-end accounts, tax returns, and financial reports for limited companies. This fully remote role offers flexibility and autonomy, making it ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment while being part of a supportive team. Key Duties Prepare and finalise statutory year-end accounts for limited company clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. Complete and submit corporation tax returns (CT600) to HMRC. Produce management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Review trial balances and reconcile accounts, making necessary year-end adjustments. Submit VAT returns in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD). Ensure compliance with Companies House filings, including full and filleted accounts. Advise clients on tax planning, allowable expenses, and directors remuneration strategies. Monitor and manage directors loan accounts for tax efficiency. Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or IRIS to manage client records and submissions. Liaise directly with clients, offering expert financial advice and responding to queries. Key Requirements Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience in an accountancy practice. Strong experience in limited company accounts preparation and corporation tax. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS, or similar). Self-motivated and organised, capable of managing multiple client accounts independently. Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to build client relationships.
