We're working with one of Saffron Walden's most well-known consumer brands as they seek an Accounts Manager to manage their accounts. The ideal candidate will have a solid working history, must be happy working full time at their office in Saffron Walden, based no further than 1 hour's drive away, and ideally be fully ACCA qualified, or at a minimum, to a high level. While it's not a hybrid role, there can be some flexibility in hours to start or finish later.
This is a retail business, so you must have experience managing the accounts for a business that holds stock, either a manufacturer or reseller, with industry experience being less important. The company uses Sage 200, but while experience in this or standard Sage would be beneficial, it's not essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing an Accounts Assistant
2. Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes
3. Producing monthly management accounts / Year Ends / Audit Requirements
4. VAT & environmental returns
5. Monthly payroll data
6. Accruals, calculations, and postings
7. Ledger and bank reconciliation
8. Sales and purchase ledger processing
