We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Halifax, starting this April. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and group support for students experiencing behavioural difficulties. Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement tailored behaviour management strategies. Assess and monitor students’ emotional, social, and behavioural needs. Develop and deliver individualised support plans to ensure students achieve their full potential. Collaborate with external agencies and parents to provide holistic support. Support the school in maintaining a calm and positive learning environment. Contribute to staff training on behaviour management strategies and inclusion. About You: Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school or similar educational setting. In-depth understanding of behaviour management techniques and emotional/mental health support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students and staff alike. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping young people overcome challenges. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field would be an advantage. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous professional development.
