The difference you will make as a Senior Compliance & Contracts Manager
You will lead a team of competent persons to ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, consumer regulations and our riverside and customer standards including the development and implementation of an effective risk management approach to compliance within the Group. Support the Head of shared spaces & compliance in developing and implementing our building safety framework and deliver against our strategic objectives to support Our Riverside plan. Leading a number of teams to implement a high-quality service.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
* Professional qualification in building safety/ Compliance or Asset Management (Lv4 diploma Asset Compliance) or Degree in Building/construction/asset management.
* Sound knowledge of key business risk, sector risk, building safety risk to customers and ability to horizon scan and assess impact on business and customers.
* Proven record of accomplishment of successful contract implementation and management for a large and diverse portfolio of mixed tenure properties.
* Comprehensive knowledge of general operating procedures within an Asset Management / Building Safety function.

Role Profile
* Strategic Lead for Asset Compliance including policy implementation, risk reduction strategy and setting our management response to our legal requirements and delivery of all compliance related activity.
* Act as the Group’s lead advisor and Accountable person for statutory Compliance across all services, for the lifecycle of buildings, including acquisition, design and build, occupation, refurbishment, demolition and disposal, providing technical, procedural, specification and compliance guidance as required.
* Support the head Lead Shared spaces function on behalf of Asset Management, developing and implementing associated strategies, ensuring a clear vision, high level targets, business drivers, priorities, and associated risks are identified, implemented and continually reviewed.
* Lead in the scoping, specifying, mobilization and implementation of all relevant statutory compliance contracts, including the assessment of competence of appointed contractors and ensuring alignment to business and commercial requirements for the Group, implementing and maintaining a performance framework to ensure effective contract management and value for money principles are applied appropriately.
* Lead on Procurement and mobilization of Supply chain partners, utilization of in-house delivery vehicle and introduction and monitoring of Service Level agreements, compliance with TRG / contract requirements. Develop business insight analysis for the national supply chain and work with colleagues to manage poor performance through performance improvements plans.
* Monitor and report on contracts, support the development and implementation of appropriate performance framework for each contract, including service level agreements and key performance indicators, leading contract and performance review meetings and dealing with underperformance, including escalation of issues as appropriate.
* Lead, motivate and engage with your team to ensure the delivery of a high quality service, developing and implementing operational objectives including key performance indicators, to underpin the Building Safety Strategy and Framework and the Group’s overall strategic objectives.
* Develop ways of working and effective monitoring of transactional service, customer service desk and data squad to support service delivery, including management of WIP, compliance records and certification.
* Support Data Squad to ensure compliance requirements, riverside responsibilities are accurately recorded and maintained to demonstrate we are meeting our legal requirements.
* Commission Quality assurance checks through Assurance function and work with partner organisation to improve quality control and address deficiencies.
* Develop, implement, and monitor the operational effectiveness of the Compliance Management model and policies, procedures and guidance on behalf of the Group, including the provision of Safety training for appropriate colleagues, taking into account up to date legislation, amendments to codes of practice, health and safety requirements and industry best practice, proactively adopting new and innovative ideas and solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the service.
* Develop, implement and manage an effective and timely programme of Safety inspections, servicing, and risk mitigation activity on behalf of the Group, ensuring adherence to regulatory, statutory and compliance frameworks, reviewing risk assessments and outcomes and ensuring appropriate risk reduction activity and control measures are implemented, providing guidance and expertise on how to address and prevent future recurrences.
* Engage with senior officers to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service, developing and implementing operational objectives, including key performance indicators, to underpin the Building Safety Strategy.
* Ensure the integrity and quality of data retained in relation statutory compliance, servicing records and service charge contracts, to ensure compliance with legal requirements to enable analysis to be carried out and relevant reporting as required.
* Carry out analysis of compliance data, producing associated reports including findings and recommendations for key stakeholders as required
* Provide guidance and support to the Building Safety Team to enable Riverside to meet the regulatory requirements for Building Safety.
* Develop and review relevant budgets, ensuring Safety expenditure is robustly managed in line with the Group’s financial controls.
* Manage the performance and development of your team providing expertise, coaching and other developmental support as required, ensuring a quality service is provided and under performance is dealt with appropriately.
* Conduct regular reviews of the Compliance function including seeking feedback from key stakeholders to continually improve the service provision. Improvement opportunities identified and realised should be in accordance with change management protocols.
* Work collaboratively with the leadership team, building safety team and business management team to ensure effective delivery of the wider service.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* In depth knowledge of Compliance requirements within Social Housing, including legislation, government and industry guidance, British standards, building regulations.
* Proven track record of managing and delivering effective servicing and maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of mix tenure properties.
* Effective stakeholder management, both internally and external to the organisation, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
* Results driven with strong analytical skills, including the ability to critically analyse complex information, and experience of providing meaningful management information.
* Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to drive change.
* Customer focused with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work at all levels within the business.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
* Evidence of using sound judgement when making effective decisions.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
* Corporate Membership of Professional Asset Management/Building Safety i.e., RICS/CIOB/IFE) or equivalent.
* Health and safety qualification e.g., NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) General, or equivalent.
