An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced music education professional to join the highly successful Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership team as Area Leader of Music Development (north-west Derbyshire).
Area Leaders of Music Development are 4 key positions; their fundamental role being to lead improvements in teaching and learning and in the delivery of instrumental and vocal provision in their geographical patch, building and developing partnerships to widen participation and inclusive practice in music education locally. This north-west Derbyshire Area Leader vacancy arises from the career development of the previous postholder to Deputy Head of Service.
Applicants would need substantial and successful experience of working in music education, a good understanding of current trends in music education and the role of a Music Hub and a very secure understanding of what constitutes quality music education and outcomes.
The successful applicant would start as soon as possible, hopefully by summer term 2025.
