Currently working with a railway organisation responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating the majority of the railway networks in the UK. They are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Swindon on an initial 6-month contract.
About You:
To be suitable for this position, you should:
1. Have an engineering degree (Geology or Civil Engineering)
2. Have experience in railway civil engineering with good knowledge of geotechnical policies and standards
3. Possess active PTS competence
4. Hold a valid UK driver's license
What you will be doing:
You will provide engineering input to earthwork examinations, ensuring asset records are maintained and accurately updated. You will lead examination requirements, undertake evaluation, assessment, and risk management of geotechnical assets.
This position is based in Swindon but may require travel to other sites including Bristol and Cardiff.
What you can expect in return:
This role is a 6-month initial contract, paying £ per day inside IR35 via an umbrella company.
You must be eligible to work permanently in the UK and hold a valid PTS. ARM will also conduct a DBS check for the successful candidate.
