The Role
As a Residential Property Associate/Senior Associate, you will manage a varied caseload, focusing on residential property transactions. You will handle matters in accordance with CQS rules and requirements and manage lease extension and enfranchisement work. This role provides the opportunity to take on significant responsibility while working closely with supervising partners and senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, including lease extensions and enfranchisement work.
* Draft relevant documents, letters, and correspondence tailored to clients' individual needs and requirements.
* Correspond with clients and opposing solicitors, attend meetings where required, and negotiate with opposing parties.
* Assist supervising partners where required, and support with legal research and case preparation.
* Proactively seek business development opportunities, build relationships with clients, and contribute to the growth of the team.
* Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and finalising client bills in a timely manner and in accordance with firm guidelines.
* Keep up to date with changes and developments in residential property law through continuous professional development.
* Strictly adhere to the firm's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
* You will have experience in residential property law, ideally with 4+ years PQE
* You will have gained solid experience handling a variety of residential property transactions.
o Enfranchisement experience would be advantageous, but is not a pre-requisite.
* Strong drafting skills with the ability to tailor documents to clients' specific needs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients and opposing solicitors effectively.
* Ability to work independently and proactively seek business development opportunities.
* An enthusiasm for continuous professional development and keeping up to date with legal developments.
