Salary: A competitive salary from £24,880 - £31,100 (pro-rata) depending on the experience you can bring

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Operations team based in our Edinburgh office. You will play a crucial role within the team responsible for the integrity of all financial transactions within Aegon UK.
This includes the processing of cash receipts, payments, ensuring the integrity of all general and purchase ledgers for the operational businesses, and any reporting breaches. The area performs financial reconciliations and reporting for inclusion in month-end accounting & reporting.
As Finance Assistant, you will undertake the day-to-day activity of the operations department delivering a quality service for key internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: processing daily payment runs, performing reconciliations, financial analysis, banking, checking of ledger transactions & balances, posting journals to the ledger, managing mailbox queries, and ensuring that the financial accounting controls are operating as planned.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* A proven track record in accuracy when completing administrative tasks
* Strong oral & written communication, which is clear and suited to the audience
* Prior knowledge and experience of general ledger accounting, banking, and payments processes
* Collaborative team player, adaptable to changing priorities, and self-motivated in all situations
* Proficient in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
