We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly Engineering team in Andover.
As part of this team, you will undertake a wide range of tasks including planned preventative maintenance and provide an efficient response to breakdowns to maintain optimum efficiency. You will also be expected to actively seek improvement opportunities and implement those improvements where possible to further develop the efficiency and productivity of the business.
Working Hours - 6:00 - 18:00 - 4 on 4 off rotation - overtime opportunities available
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* High quality engineering support to enable continuous running of plant and equipment.
* Rapid response to breakdowns.
* Effective fault diagnosis to ensure first time fixes.
* Carry out the maintenance of office, control and factory equipment including conveyors, rigid and modified-air packing, metal detectors and high-speed labelling machines.
* Drive line performance by focusing on bottleneck reliability and speed.
* Identifying improvement areas within line engineering processes and recommending/implementing solutions
* Installation of plant equipment and services.
* Carry out autonomous and preventive maintenance tasks, competently and correctly, and recording work accurately in the correct documentation.
* Adhering to laid down systems of work.
* Working safely within Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards.
* Inspections of equipment at predetermined intervals to ensure there is no risk to product from contamination by foreign bodies arising from equipment damages.
* Ensure effective maintenance service is provided to the factory to minimise delays and downtime of machines.
You Will Need:
* Engineering (Electrical) qualification, as well as other required training and qualifications.
* To be an excellent fault finder and have strong mechanical skills.
* To accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.
* To demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors and have a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met.
* Ideally you will have direct experience working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
