Health and Safety Manager
We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager for a solar project in Nottinghamshire.
Your Role:
As Health and Safety Manager, you will be involved in a range of practical tasks on site including:
1. Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
2. Ensure that the workplace possesses an ideal and safe work environment to protect the health of the staff and visitors.
3. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
4. Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
5. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
6. Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policy, programs, and plans.
7. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
8. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes.
9. Incident and near miss reporting.
10. Maintain good relations and coordination with the company staff, management, and external parties to maximize a healthy environment and minimize risks.
11. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
12. Set up emergency plans and educate all employees on how to manage such situations.
13. Preparation of documentation for project/site work.
14. Complete and submit RIDDOR reports.
Qualifications:
1. In-depth knowledge of environment, health, and safety regulations.
2. Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application.
3. NEBOSH Diploma (Desirable).
4. Analytical skills and ability to deal with numbers.
5. A working knowledge of delivering Health and Safety Services.
6. Ability to complete projects within the deadline.
7. Ability to assess and predict potential risks and recommend essential remedial measures.
