Sales Manager – Packaging Machinery Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 basic On-Target Earnings: £80,000 – £90,000 Benefits: 25 days holiday, car allowance, pension, and additional benefits Location: Central UK (flexible, with good motorway access) We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Manager with a hunter mentality to join a market-leading manufacturer of production inspection machinery. Specialising in equipment such as checkweighers and metal detection systems, the company serves the food manufacturing sector, particularly blue-chip end-user food factories. Individual machine values range from £20,000 to £50,000. This role offers a balanced mix of 50% account management and 50% new business development. You will be expected to generate new opportunities through the existing CRM system as well as your own professional network. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage relationships with existing accounts Target companies with Capex spends for machinery Identify and close new business opportunities Prospect new customers Navigate complex sales cycles, often taking several months Use CRM tools effectively to manage the sales pipeline Represent a globally respected UK-based manufacturer with 100 employees Requirements: Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in packaging machinery or capital equipment sales, ideally into the food manufacturing sector Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, showing commitment and consistent performance Proven ability to sell high-value capital equipment and close long-cycle deals Strong new business development skills and a self-starting mentality Based centrally in the UK with access to major motorway networks Comfortable working independently while representing a global market leader Willing to travel to customers sites UK wide A driven go getter that is commission hungry Technically minded This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional looking to grow within a respected business known for its innovation, quality, and customer focus.
