Project Manager (Mechanical) Purpose Leads the implementation of large-scale Capex investments or projects from business case and technical design through to successful on-site execution and commissioning at local level while developing internal project management capabilities to deliver and support the best Engineering/Maintenance. You will provide engineering support to the operations team. Core Responsibilities Strategy design and execution Contribute to the design of the Regional Project Engineering plan by advising its management regarding on project feasibility. Prepare business cases and designs related project plans and coordinates their execution upon approval by sponsor(s) and steering committee(s). Project management Manage capital projects and studies for large scale projects or multiple processes (technical solutions, number of disciplines, contractors). Develop project scopes, cost estimations, credit applications and specifications, etc. Responsible for all design and construction parameters, respecting all norms and regulations and EHS. Sets parameters for project execution, including timing, detailed cost estimate, list of deliverables. Request dedicated resources for project planning and execution. Manage dedicated resources as per project assignment (internal and external). Co-lead tender process with suppliers and contractors. Implement and apply appropriate project monitoring tools (cost and resources). Run regular reporting to higher management and stakeholders. Support project management in action and contingency planning. Support project management in resource planning. Runs hazard studies, risk assessments and process optimizations. Establish control of contractors on site for the projects managed. Establish budgetary control for approved projects. Produce all required design documents. Executes the project plan(s) within approved budget. Compliance Site Mechanical Engineer with a responsibility for mechanical compliance. People management Contributes to the annual human resources processes by providing feedback to line managers regarding performance of project team members. Works with the respective line managers and HR Business Partner(s) in developing project management capabilities in the Engineering function. Contributes to the development and promotion of functional talents within and outside the Engineering function. Academic Background Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline. Plant Engineering or Maintenance Certification. Project Management Certification. Professional Experience 7 to 10 years of experience in engineering, including management of multi-country/multiple process engineering projects involving resources from diverse disciplines. Experience working with diverse cultures and multidiscipline specialists (internal and external). Experience working in complex/matrix organizations (incl. Global CoE setup). Experience of COMAH sites would be an advantage. Technical Skills Proficiency in project management. Good command in using TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools. Proficiency in stakeholder management and communications. Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines. Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP). Good negotiation skills to support procurement to manage contractors.
