Why this role is important for CPI’s work
We have two exciting opportunities for two Junior Warehouse Co-ordinators to join our well-established team. We have a vacancy at Wilton, Redcar and one at NETPark, Sedgefield; please select on your application which you would be interested in, or alternatively both vacancies.
The team provides support across the whole of the North East CPI sites (Wilton, Sedgefield, Darlington, Newton Aycliffe). A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle will be required in order to travel to sites flexibly.
As the Junior Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the warehouse operating areas in delivering safe, effective, and efficient warehousing and inventory control in support of project delivery.
Key tasks in the Junior Warehouse Coordinator role will include (but are not limited to):
* Assisting the Warehouse Coordinator in managing compliance with required safety, housekeeping, and quality systems.
* Reviewing and maintaining the warehouse and associated equipment (e.g., FLT, cylinder storage, laydown area, office areas, etc.).
* Developing an understanding of the flow of raw materials and consumables throughout the facility.
* Ensuring that raw materials and consumables are allocated to the correct projects.
* Maintaining visibility of stock levels and ensuring correct labelling and use of first in/first out principles.
* Developing an understanding of warehouse integrity and accountability of all goods in/out movements.
* Adequately packaging all items for safe delivery to customers or vendors.

The person we are seeking
The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths or English. Experience working in a warehouse environment is essential. Candidates should be proactive, able to communicate effectively, and show a professional attitude at all times. Good attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and initiative are important.
Knowledge of Orders and Inventory Control Systems (e.g., SAP/SAGE) and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) would be advantageous.
