Approach Personnel are seeking a skilled CAD Technician with experience in Revit on behalf of a busy construction company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in timber frame construction to contribute to innovative and impactful projects.
Role Overview:
As a CAD Technician, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and the project team to create accurate and detailed designs using Revit for timber frame construction projects. You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D models, coordinating design specifications, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and modify detailed CAD drawings and 3D models using Revit for timber frame construction projects
* Develop accurate, high-quality timber frame designs, including structural details and component specifications
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure project designs align with client needs and specifications
* Prepare drawings for fabrication and assembly, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards
* Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, and sections
* Troubleshoot and resolve design and technical issues related to timber frame construction
* Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective communication and timely project delivery
* Maintain and update Revit models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the latest information is always reflected
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, CAD technology, and timber frame construction techniques
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with a strong background in using Revit for construction projects
* Solid understanding of timber frame construction principles and practices
* Experience producing 2D and 3D Revit models for timber frame buildings
* Proficient in producing accurate and detailed technical drawings, including elevations, plans, and sections
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all design work
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality standards
* Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and standards relevant to timber frame construction
