Dye & Durham produces environmental and geological search reports for the residential and commercial conveyancing market. The role of the Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant (GGEC) is key in the delivery of all Dye & Durham environmental and geological products.
The responsibilities of a GGEC are largely focused on the production of the environmental reports. This will involve the management, upkeep and enhancement of the report processing system, and delivery of environmental risk assessments to a high standard. A GGEC will be expected to have oversight of daily workload and ensure that the team is delivering a high quality experience to clients within Dye & Durham’s Service Level Agreements with clients and resellers.
Progression to Geo-Environmental Consultant will depend on performance and ability to absorb additional responsibilities, such as consultancy work and client-facing duties. Developing technical knowledge of geo-environmental risk and assessment methodologies will be an essential part of progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Administration and support, including processing orders and ensuring datasets are appropriately managed and updated
* Delivery of immaculate customer service when handling technical queries to external parties and customers by telephone and email
* Daily management of the report generation process
* Analysing documentation provided by clients as part of the ‘Review’ process
* Interpreting environmental and geological data to produce all varieties of Dye & Durham environmental and geological desktop reports
* Quality assurance of reports completed by other geo-environmental consultants, graduates and third-party providers
* Liaison with external bodies including regulators and data/content suppliers
* Liaison with Dye & Durham group services
* Data research
* Supporting the Risk Team Leader and wider Dye & Durham group on projects as and when required
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* BSc or BA in an Environmental Science Degree, or similar such as Geology, Geography, Hydrology, Ecology, Biology or Chemistry
* GIS experience is desirable
* Flood / hydrological background is desirable.
* Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work on-site from our Bristol office 4 days a week.
