About the Role...
It's an exciting time to join Totally’s Urgent Care NHS 111 team. Our teams are compassionate and committed to the delivery of quality health services to our patients.
Totally was established to support the NHS and ensure that patients could quickly access the healthcare they need. We partner with our healthcare commissioners across the UK & Ireland to deliver services that help them manage demand and reduce waiting lists including the delivery of Urgent Treatment Centres and NHS 111.
We provide NHS111 services nationally, partnering with the NHS, to deliver care from our dedicated call centers in Staffordshire, Stockton-On-Tees and Newcastle upon Tyne.
We are currently recruiting full and part-time Clinical Advisors to cover various Night shift patterns.
NHS 111 is available to patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our teams help patients to get the right advice and treatment when they need it. Using specialised support systems, you will undertake health assessments to signpost patients to the most appropriate service to meet their needs.
All successful applicants undertake a,fully paid 4- 6-week training course (if you are already a pathways trained Clinical Advisor you will not need to undertake this training). Training courses are all full-time hours (37.5 hours per week). The initial 3 weeks are classroom based, following which, you will be working within the Contact Centre alongside a dedicated, accredited coach to provide you with the skills you need to excel at the role. Once you are working independently you will be allocated your rotas according to your contracted hours.

As a Nurse or Paramedic, you’ll champion quality care delivery, working closely with our Health Advisors, applying your clinical knowledge and skills to ensure our patients receive the right level of care when they urgently need it.
You will be provided with paid training in the use of NHS Pathways to support decisions with telephone triage, assessing patients presenting with symptoms, and provide appropriate aftercare advice and referrals when appropriate to do so.
Day to Day…
* provide a comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessment,
* support the dispatch process, ensuring appropriate resource deployment
* provide advice and support as required to Health Advisor or frontline operational colleagues.
* facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information, self-care/health improvement advice or referral to the appropriate level and location of care.
-Hold current professional registration with either the NMC or HCPC.
- Have worked post registration for a year, ideally with some experience in an acute/primary care setting
- Have the ability to assimilate large quantities of information quickly, accurately and communicate outcomes clearly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to support and enthuse others by demonstrating a commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
