Job Requirements
* Support the ‘Design Leads’ in the development of the designs for the Personnel Airlocks, Main Equipment Access Hatch and Fuel Transfer Channel, Piping Penetrations and Electrical Penetrations ahead of the Design review. This will require embedment into the Design review process, and its applied governance and core deliverables.
* Produce and collate all deliverables for Design review and run the review. Deliverables will include (but not limited to), a DFMEA, review of the Containment System HAZID, Human Factors checklists, Risk Register updates, design calculations, Initial Method of Manufacture report, material selection decision record, PFMEA, build schedule and cost model, as well as continually updating all DOORS modules (requirements, assumptions, design definition and component safety classifications).
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
* Excellent organising and planning abilities to oversee all tasks and deliverables.
* Capacity to work well in a project team in a business setting. This will entail cooperating with suppliers and partners outside the company.
* Be cognizant of and knowledgeable about export control regulations.
* Taking into consideration health, safety, and the environment when working to make sure that all corporate, business, and legal requirements and procedures are met.
* Academic foundation with an MSc in nuclear reactor physics OR nuclear engineering (or corresponding, relevant work experience).
