With our future plans in mind, we are recruiting for the next intake of Engineering apprentices for the Müller Yogurt & Desserts business with a starting date of August 2025. We are partnered with Telford College to deliver a fully multi-skilled level 4 training program which will mold you into a highly desirable engineer of the future.
This opportunity is certainly not for the faint-hearted; we expect you to work hard and be 100% committed to unlocking your full potential as a highly prized member of our Engineering team. You will need to take the lead in driving your own development and show energy and passion as you work towards an industry-wide recognized HNC Engineering qualification.
Your apprenticeship combines technical skills training, academic study, and work-based learning, and you’ll also need to be flexible with your hours of work when required.
You will be required to rotate through our three MYD sites (Market Drayton, Telford & Minsterley) during your apprenticeship. You will also need to impress us with your desire to learn and your ability to take the lead in making your career ambitions for the future a reality.
* Duration: 5-year program.
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:00)
* Program Salary: Starting salary of £19K, progressing to a maximum of £35.5K over the course of the 5-year program.

In this role, the key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with maintenance tasks of plant and equipment, offering opinions and solutions within your teams.
* Assisting teams with routine inspections of equipment and tools.
* Supporting the delivery of key Operations/Engineering initiatives.
* Assisting in the delivery of Quality Critical PM and HACCP schedules.
* Flexibility to work in all areas of the Engineering/production department.
* Attending meetings, briefings, and shift handovers.
* Developing the knowledge and skills needed to comply with all aspects of Maintenance Best Practice.
* Working within Health and Safety legislation and demonstrating safe working practices.
* Working towards the department's targets to improve downtime, line/factory efficiency, and maintenance expenditure.
The ideal candidate will have:
* GCSE English & Maths at grade C (level 5) or above.
* A clear passion for Engineering.
* Great attention to detail.
* The ability to analyze problems and suggest improvements/solutions.
* A self-motivated and proactive approach to work and studies.
* Good team working skills.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
