MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES What will you be doing on the apprenticeship? As a Junior Production Coordinator Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in how content creation comes together, from concept to audience. You will learn a wide range of skills including preparing for shoots or live radio studios, coordinating transport, booking kit and crews, and assisting with budget management. You’ll learn best practices from expert BBC production management teams, ensuring everything is documented and in line with privacy and licensing policies. You’ll study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on the job at the BBC and off the job with our chosen education provider. The academic study involves attending workshops, tutorial sessions, presentations, and group work. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gather a portfolio of evidence and work on an End Point Assessment that demonstrates your learning, working towards a level 4 apprenticeship qualification. Where could the role take you? On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for roles such as Production Management Assistant or Production Coordinator both inside and outside of the BBC. This scheme starts in September 2025 and lasts for 17 months. A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PLACEMENT BBC Studios - Factual - Documentary The BBC Studios Documentary Unit works across bases in Cardiff, London, and Salford, focusing on reputational, access-driven documentaries, compelling human stories, and constructed factual programming. The successful candidate will ideally have a passion for documentary and factual journalism, completing Production Management duties across various productions. ARE YOU THE RIGHT CANDIDATE?
