Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust provides oncological treatments for patients diagnosed with lung cancer at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth, and St Richards Hospital Chichester (West Sussex). Main duties of the job
The Portsmouth and Chichester MDTs have a thoracic surgeon present and run local clinics. Thoracic surgery is undertaken at Southampton and St Georges. The Respiratory teams provide full interventional services, and there are excellent CNS teams supporting both sites.

The dermatology service supports the Skin MDT, has a Mohs service for non-melanoma excision and there is excellent plastic surgery on site. CNS services support melanoma, as does an AOS unit staffed by advancing nursing practitioners and doctors running 0800-2000 7 days a week.
There is a well-established and enthusiastic Oncological Research team supporting and encouraging clinical trials, and links with the University of Portsmouth. Participation in and leading research is strongly encouraged as is the development of academic roles.
