What is the role?
Are you passionate about finance and looking to develop your skills within a growing and dynamic team? We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Assistant with the potential to grow into a Finance Manager’s Assistant role or an experienced Senior Finance Assistant ready for that next step. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates eager to build a long-term career in finance.
Job role includes (but is not limited to):
* Assisting with payroll preparation, salary disbursements, and processing manual journal entries.
* Managing and overseeing transactions across multiple bank accounts.
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns, NRL tax filings, and other compliance-related tasks.
* Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual company accounts, and various budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
* Tracking rental income and generating statements for landlords.
Requirements:
* Excellent and clear communication skills.
* Trustworthy, with a high level of integrity.
* Well-organised, with the ability to manage workload consistently and efficiently.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Adaptable, proactive, and able to use initiative where needed.
* Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
* Knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software (preferable).
Minimum Educational Requirements:
* Currently studying towards AAT (minimum Level 3), QBE, or ACCA qualifications.
