Our client, a specialist roofing contractor based in Manchester, is currently looking to expand their commercial division, meaning there is a new opening for an Estimator. This company is well-established, with a healthy pipeline of projects lined up for the future. They are offering a starting salary circa 45,000 - 55,000, with projects across the UK, predominantly within the North West region. Site travels will be diary dependent.
This role will be office-based for the first 3 months with flexibility available after this period.

Estimator Job Overview
Analyse Enquiry Documentation
* Review client requirements, scope of works, Bills of Quantities, specifications, and drawings to understand project scope.
Conduct Site Visits
* Verify and collect dimensional and logistical information for refurbishment projects.
Prepare Detailed Estimates
* Determine material, labour, plant, and access requirements to complete the project in line with enquiry documents.
Collaborate and Communicate
* Work with subcontractors, obtaining quotes and negotiating competitive pricing.
* Liaise with the Contracts Department to ensure a smooth project handover.
Risk Management
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Submit Competitive Bids
* Produce high-quality, accurate, and compliant tender submissions within deadlines.
Post-Project Evaluation
* Participate in reflection meetings to improve future estimating processes.
Estimator Job Requirements
* Must be within commutable distance of Manchester
* Must have experience as an Estimator in a similar position
* Roofing experience / roofing knowledge
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Broad technical knowledge.
* Self-motivated and results-driven attitude.
* Ability to work independently
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Willingness to travel.
