With the increase we see in the care and treatments we are offering to patients, our focused and professional administration team have a need for a Patient Diagnostic Administrator to provide a supporting service by covering required shifts at our St Marys Surgical Centre, Portsmouth and also at our Havant Diagnostic centre, Oak Park.

Supporting the Administration Manager and working in line with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Guidelines, you, the Patient Administrator, will be responsible for the reception and administrative duties within the Diagnostic Department at both locations.
This is a Bank position, offering supporting working hours as required, either at St Marys Surgical centre, Portsmouth or at Havant Diagnostic centre, Oak Park.
As required to cover sickness and annual leave, a typical requirement will see you working a Monday to Friday week or part of that week at either location.
Working hours which must be fulfilled when required are: 07:45 - 15:45, 09:00 - 17:00, 11:00 - 19:00

What you'll be doing
You’ll be meeting and greeting patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they are in the right place and booked in with the correct person they are meeting.
You’ll answer calls from patients, GP surgeries and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, admissions and patient referrals, documenting appropriately.
You will be managing the booking and potential cancellations including all the follow-ups, documentation, communication and notification that would be involved. You’ll be following the Patient Pathway and keep track of their movements between departments.
You’ll be scheduling patients for surgery, coordinating and aligning dates and ensuring that the patient meets the criteria required beforehand with assistance from the clinical teams.
Another important requirement of this position would be the booking of outpatient sessions, using the strict booking guidelines adhering to breach dates and ensuring optimal utilization of clinic, theatre lists and gathering patient information where appropriate for outpatient clinics.
What we’ll look for in you
The right Patient Diagnostic Administrator for this position will come from a very similar background, performing reception and administration requirements for a large customer base or public environment.
You’ll be an experienced administrator with great customer focus appreciation, used to working effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment, remaining compliant working with personal information and sensitive data adhering to GDPR regulations.
You will be an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal with strong IT skills, able to pick up new in-house systems easily.
You’ll be a genuinely supportive and welcoming individual with a friendly approach, possessing an impeccable phone manner and customer service skills.
